Recently, I put a “spin” on it.

Two Saturdays ago, I was at the lottery counter at a small corner store. (lottery, gamble)

There was a fellow there waiting for some items and he came over to play the lottery.  He was turned
down because he didn’t have the exact change…a dollar bill. The drawer had not been set up yet.

I played my 2 dollars (exact change) and then turn to him and handed him a dollar and said to him “here, play winning numbers!”.

He at first wanted to refuse.  I wouldn’t let him.

Then he said he’d split it with me.  I told him “no! It’s all yours!”

And I walked out, with eyes watching me like I was weird. (okay, maybe I am a little)

But the biggest thrill came when I checked the numbers on Sunday morning. (NO, I did not win, BUT)

Imagine the feeling I had when I read that someone from Pennsylvania (my home state) hit the lottery. I really hoped it would be the gentleman I gave the dollar to.

I still don’t know WHO it was. But if it was him….wow, do I feel great just the thought of one dollar may have help a small dream come true for someone!!

In our recent trip back from Austin, we picked up a USA today.

One of the headlines??? Casinos are suffering from the “GAS PRICE” crunch!

Come on folks, if you can afford to gamble, what’s a little extra gas money?

People are selling their gas-guzzler SUVs, and purchasing smaller “gas efficient” vehicle. Just to save money. Or not going gambling at all!

THINK ABOUT IT!

You will be making a car payment, which will probably amount to more money than you would have spent in gas to GET TO THE CASINO!

The government loves to control, wow, are they doing a good job.

I say “keep gambling”, “keep tithing”, and have FUN!

I won a drawing at the nearby casino, The Meadows in Washington, PA. $1,000!

How? Tithing! and Giving!

I tithe on all my gross winnings! If I put $20 in and win $50, I tithe on the $50, not the $30 profit.

and earlier in the day, I had given the coffee girl a $5 tip and the waitress at lunch $5.00.
hummmmmmmmmmmmm. $10 x a hundredfold……

Yes, I admit, I love gambling, but I want to make sure I take SOME money back home with me in my “gambling” stash (after putting the proper amount in my “tithing” stash) for the next trip.

So here is what I do…..

I put, for example, $20.00 in the slots. When I hit over $30.00, I tell myself that I will cash out when I get “down” to $30.00.

I cash out and put the voucher away until I am ready to leave, and put money in from my original gambling “stash”. Of course when I hit real big, I cash out immediately!

For example, one recent trip, I made $150.00 on a $20.00 bet! How? Giving, and tithing.

Giving…I tipped the bartender $1.50 on a $4.50 bottle of beer…then went off to play.

I put $20.00 in one of the slots, but it didn’t “feel” right, so I pulled it out at $15.00. A machine was “calling” me from the other side of the casino…I listened, put the $15.00 voucher in and…..

on the first spin, I won $150.00. Think about it…. $1.50×10=$15.00×10=$150.00. I received a hundredfold for my tip to the bartender!

Giving…tithing…these are the keys to my success.
